As a Lake Norman native and the founder of Connor Insurance Agency, Oliver brings over 15 years of experience helping families and small businesses protect what matters most. His passion lies in making insurance approachable, tailored, and rooted in trust. Whether you’re a first-time homeowner or a business owner juggling risk, he believes in clear communication, honest advice, and long-term relationships — not transactions.
In addition to leading our team here in Sherrills Ford, Oliver serves on the Board of Directors for the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC), where he advocates for the success of over 1,000 independent agencies. He is also the host of The Catawba Chronicles, a podcast highlighting the amazing people and stories of our local community. When he is not in the office, you can find him spending time with his wife and three kids, hosting conversations about leadership and life, or occasionally falcon-handling and reminiscing about his days as a dolphin trainer.
Brittany Hay – Licensed Agent/Office Manager
Brittany joined Connor Insurance nearly a year ago, starting from the ground up with zero experience in the industry. Through hard work, curiosity, and a drive to grow, she has earned three insurance licenses and has since been promoted to Office Manager. Her journey reflects both her dedication and her ability to thrive in new challenges.
Originally from Ohio, Brittany has called the Lake Norman area home for several years. She is happily married, a proud mom of two wonderful kids, and shares her home with a beloved fur-baby. When she’s not working, Brittany enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. Whether she’s hiking, relaxing by the lake, or getting lost in a good book, she always makes time for the people and moments that matter most.
Joann Reed – Licensed Agent/Customer Service Representative
Joann has been a valued and dedicated member of the Connor Insurance family for the past six years. As a licensed agent with a strong focus on customer service, she brings both professionalism and heart to everything she does. Her deep knowledge of the industry, combined with her genuine care for clients, makes her a trusted and compassionate guide for those navigating their insurance needs.
A proud resident of Sherrills Ford for the past 22 years, Joann has deep roots in the community she serves. She and her husband, who have been married for nearly 27 years, have raised two remarkable sons, both of whom are currently serving in the military. Outside the office, Joann enjoys the companionship of her three beloved cats and energetic dog. She can often be found exploring new places through travel, diving into a good book, or experimenting in the kitchen.
Elizabeth Schmitz – Licensed Agent/Operations Coordinator
Originally from Minnesota and now raising a young son, Elizabeth brings a blend of Midwestern warmth and strong personal commitment to everything she does. She is always ready to assist clients with any questions or concerns about their policies.
Elizabeth is a recently licensed Client Service Representative at Connor Insurance, where she specializes in servicing existing policies and working closely with carriers to ensure that every client’s needs are met promptly and thoroughly. With just over a year at Connor Insurance, she truly values the agency’s supportive and collaborative environment. Elizabeth is committed to advocating for clients and finding effective solutions. Her goal is to make every interaction both positive and productive.
Cora Dellinger – Life Insurance & Annuities Specialist

Outside of her career, Cora is a proud mom of three and finds her greatest joy in supporting her children’s activities. Leah Phansook is the Marketing Specialist at Connor Insurance Agency, where she’s spent the past nine months bringing creativity, heart, and strategic insight to the team. Based in High Shoals, NC, Leah helps shape the agency’s public image through engaging educational content, social media management, and marketing campaigns that connect with real people. She’s also the creative mind behind Connor Insurance’s TikTok videos, reels, and team highlights; adding a fun, authentic voice to the world of insurance.
In addition to her role at Connor Insurance, Leah co-owns Portraits by Leah and Lori, LLC, where she uses her photography skills to preserve life’s most meaningful moments with warmth and artistry. Recently married, she enjoys golfing with her husband, diving into DIY art projects, and uncovering inspiration in the small, beautiful details of everyday life. Her passion for creativity, storytelling, and human connection fuels everything she does; whether it’s behind the camera, in front of the editing screen, or alongside her teammates at Connor Insurance.
